Join us for SOUVENIR, a pop-up shop and showcase of London souvenirs (that don’t suck), curated by Charlene Lam of Creative Clerkenwell.

Go beyond the tourist tat found in Heathrow gift shops and Piccadilly Square. SOUVENIR will highlight quality alternatives, inspired by the city, designed and made in the UK, with a true connection to what makes the city so great.

Featuring work from UK artists and designers including:

Mini Moderns‘ new Props collection for the National Theatre and 2014 Year of the Bus commissions for the London Transport Museum

– selected architectural sculptures from Chisel & Mouse‘s recent Brutalist collection

– London-inspired interior products from Michelle Mason, co-owner of Columbia Road’s Mason & Painter

– interpretations of the city by Spanish illustrator and Camberwell graduate Mercedes Leon

– Linocuts from Monokraum hand-carved and hand-pulled by architect and printmaker Charis Tsang

– Book Blocks by artist Daniel Speight aka The Soft City, who turns discarded books into buildings and bookshelves into streets

– Incredibly intricate pop-up cards from Clerkenwell-based Paper Tango

Love London, a lovely little book of photos and quotes about the city, by design journalist and photographer Barbara Chandler

– a potted history of London souvenirs by historian Jane Young (tentatively titled “300 Years of Tat”!)

Cheers to these excellent blogs and websites for featuring us!

Thank you to our sponsors and partners!

london-graphic-centre-logoWe have a thing for coloured masking tape (doesn’t everyone?). And London Graphic Centre is supplying us with enough rolls to create a Cityscape of Tape for the show! Come see it and get a chance to add to it at the Thursday party. Want your own tape? Head to the London Graphic Centre online shop, or to their shops — the Clerkenwell location is just down the road from us.
