About

Creative Clerkenwell is inspired by the creative wonder that is Clerkenwell, a tangle of streets in central London housing architects, furniture showrooms, graphic designers, advertising agencies, printers, bookbinders, watchmakers, milliners, jewellers, and as of late, some of the city’s best cafes.

Creative Clerkenwell is about connecting.

  • Connecting Clerkenwell’s showrooms, architects and design practices with designer-makers and craftspeople.
  • Connecting discarded materials like offcuts and discontinued samples with the artists, designers and craftspeople who can use them.
  • Connecting local office workers, businesses and the larger community with creative happenings in Clerkenwell, like exhibitions, workshops and events.
  • Connecting Clerkenwell’s creative past with its creative present.

Want to connect? Say hello at hello [at] creativeclerkenwell.com

Creative Clerkenwell was launched as an initiative to connect different parts of the design community during Clerkenwell Design Week 2011, with a series of workshops, a pop-up shop, and of course, a party.

About me: I’m a NYC designer and artist transplanted to London. I’m interested in how people live a creative life and make a creative living. I love exploring cities and the things that define them. Clerkenwell is a particularly abundant area, full of untapped potential and discoveries.

I’m open to consulting, collaborations and a nice chat over coffee.
